Comminution
Crushing
Various jaw crushers, cone crushers, and impact crushers are provided for coarse comminution of feed in sizes up to 30 cm. Larger material quantities are stored intermediately in big bags or bunkers. Our crushers are designed for an output up to 10 t/h, depending on the type. In addition to large tests and sample productions, it is also possible to conduct tests with a few kilograms by using smaller machines. Hammer mills and rotary shears are also suited for the comminution of different recycling materials and renewable raw materials, such as electronic scrap, plastics, wood, and straw.
Technical possibilities
- Short-head cone crushers
- Jaw crushers
- Hammer crushers, hammer mills
- Impact crushers
- Double-shaft crushers (rotary shears)
Grinding
We conduct various tests in our laboratory to determine the specific grindability in accordance with Bond, Hardgrove and Zeisel. These tests serve as the basis for the dimensioning of larger grinding tests and systems. A drum mill with a diameter of 0.72 m, the length, armouring, discharge system and grinding body of which can be configured individually (model mill), enables the true-to-scale modelling of most industrial ball, rod and autogenous grinding mills (AG mills). This set-up allows grinding circuits to be simulated and dimensioned in combination with a superfine airclassifier. Furthermore, this system can also be combined with further units of our machine base, such as screening machines, so that contract manufacturing with outputs up to 500 kg/h is possible. Further working steps, such as mixing, coating, sieve classification and magnetic separation can be integrated where necessary. Batch sizes from 1,000 kg to 100 t can be realised for these processes.
In addition to the model grinding plant used mainly for the processing of fine mineral powders, it is also possible to comminute metal powder down to the fine micrometer range under an inert atmosphere by way of our high-energy grinding technology. High-energy grinding is also used for mechanical alloying and mechanochemical reactions.
Technical possibilities
- Model grinding plant (ball mill-airclassifier circuit)
- Drum mills (steel, ceramic or rubber lining; wet, dry, batch, continuous)
- Eccentric vibrating mills (Siebtechnik ESM 324)
- Planetary ball mills
- Stirred ball mills (attritor mills)
- Screen discharge ball mills
