Sieving/screening
We possess a large number of screening machines covering an extensive range of screen cloths, operating according to different mechanisms of action and tailored to suit the most varied requirements. In addition to sieve analyses and contract screening/sieving of smallest quantities, it is also possible to conduct technical sieving with outputs up to 1 t/h. Where necessary, we can also use multi-deck screening machines allowing up to three screen decks in a single work operation. Screening up to 32 µm is possible thanks to the use of ultrasonic transducers.
Technical possibilities
- Tumbler screening machines
- Vibratory screening machines, 32 μm to 80 mm
- Test screening machines for sieve analyses in accordance with the German DIN standard or according to the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
- Gyratory screening machines, fixed grates up to 150 mm
- Dry sieving, wet sieving
Air classification
We use the ATP 200 deflector wheel classifier from Hosokawa Alpine, for example, to perform pilot-scale air classification tests. This air classifier is advantageous especially for classification in the fine particle range up to cut sizes of approx. < 5 μm. It is also possible to operate our model mill in circular connection. The air classifier coarse material is fed back to the mill, thus achieving a more continuous product quality and mostly also significant energy savings in grinding. Superfine classifiers and simple vibratory air separators are provided for laboratory tests and contract classification of smaller quantities in the kilogram range. To perform cut sizes of a few millimetres, however, we use zigzag classifiers which are used mainly in recycling industry.
Technical possibilities
- Hosokawa Alpine ATP200 ultrafine classifier
- Microtec laboratory ultrafine classifier
- Zigzag classifier
Hydrocyclones
Several test beds are installed to perform wet classification by way of hydrocyclones. Our cyclones supplied from different manufacturers and manufactured in different sizes provide a wide range of overflow and underflow nozzles to fit the most varied requirements. Cut sizes in the range between 5 and 50 μm can be classified, under certain conditions even of greater coarseness. For tests with large amounts of suspension, our cyclones are combined with suitable tanks and thickeners.
Technical possibilities
- Hydrocyclones ranging in diameter between 7 and 100 mm (with an output ranging between approx. 0.6 and 30 m³/h))
- 4-level technical centre for the erection of complete preparation lines
- 50 l containers up to 2 m³
- Thickeners up to a volume of 6 m³
